Cable in the Classroom has selected a 10-teacher advisory board to help keep
it abreast of developments in education technology and technologically delivered
The educators -- whose classroom expertise covers science, English,
humanities, art, media, social studies and video production at the elementary
and high-school levels -- will serve as the first National Teacher Advisors of
CIC and will become mentors and consultants to the cable industry's education
CIC said this group was chosen by representatives from national education
organizations and schools to help support its new mission to improve teaching
and learning for children in schools, at home and in their communities.
The selected group, chosen to one-year terms, has acumen in various school
content areas, they use technology in novel ways and they are well-versed in
issues related to such relative to attendant grade levels.
