Cable in the Classroom said Monday that it has created its first National
Education Advisory Board.
The 20-member board brings together a cross-section of educators and
government officials charged with helping to guide the nonprofit group in its
new efforts to use cable technology to further education.
'Cable in the Classroom has long benefited from the advice and guidance of a
wise and committed group of cable-industry executives, and we're now delighted
to name a similarly gifted advisory board of education luminaries,' CIC
executive director Peggy O'Brien said in a press release.
Among those on the board are: O'Brien; Bernie Dodge, professor of educational
technology at San Diego State University; Shirley Igo, president of the National
