Cable in the Classroom said Monday that its Professional Development
Institute has won accreditation by the International Association for Continuing
Education and Training. This means the institute can now offer
continuing-education credits to teachers who attend CIC workshops on how to
integrate cable-television and high-speed-data technology into their lesson
The CIC PDI has held more than 1,200 workshops in 35 states over the past two
years. The workshops are available free-of-charge to teachers.
According to CIC, the cable industry contributes $100 million each year in
resources to schools, teachers and their students.
