Cable Television Laboratories Inc. will go to a Scientific-Atlanta Inc.
executive as its new vice president of the Go2Broadband consumer-service-locator
The Louisville, Colo.-based technology consortium has named S-A’s Jenifer
Cistola to head up the Go2 Broadband program.
Go2 Broadband is developing a Web-based electronic-commerce tool electronics
makers and retailers can tap to help guide customers in finding broadband, HDTV
and next-generation cable services.
Through either a store kiosk or a Web site, Go2Broadband would link the
customer directly to the cable operator in their area to sign up for
CableLabs also named Ed Miller as chief network architect, in charge of
defining next-generation network architectures for cable systems.
Formerly VP of voice solutions at Terayon Communication Systems Inc., Miller
will also work with CableLabs member companies that are developing products
using the PacketCable Multimedia specification.
