Five cable networks earned Women in Cable Telecommunications' 2011 Signature Accolades awards for programming that offer authentic portrayals
of women in multidimensional roles, the organization announced Tuesday.
TNT's The Closer and USA's In Plain Sight will receive Signature Accolades honors in the category of Scripted Drama/Comedy Series or Special, while Style's Ruby and WE TV's Downsized will earn honors in the Reality/Lifestyle Series or Special category, according to WICT officials.
ESPN's documentary Her Story: Ten Times Over, will receive the Signature Accolades recognition in the Documentary/Biographical Series or Special category. WICT will honor the winners during its June 14 Signature Luncheon in conjunction with The 2011 Cable Show, said the organization.

WICT is thrilled to have the opportunity to award these five original programs from these outstanding companies with the 2011 Signature Accolades," says Maria E. Brennan, WICT President & CEO in a statement.
