CMT Enters Broadband-Video Country

Country-music programmer CMT joined the broadband Web league with the launch of CMT Loaded (www.cmt.com/loaded), an online portal offering more than 500 clips of performances, interviews and original video.

The video is available free-of-charge at CMT.com and features footage of top country artists including Faith Hill, Keith Urban and Toby Keith, along with segments from CMT shows. In addition, more than 40 original shows are now in production for the broadband-video service.

The original content is aimed at cross-promoting CMT programming including the CMT Music Awards, CMT Crossroads and the Miss America Pageant. All told, the video library is projected to total 300 clips per month.

“CMT Loaded marks a new era for country-music fans who want to connect with their favorite artists and shows, on their terms, at their convenience." said Brian Philips, CMT’s executive vice president and general manager. “We have everything real fans want -- killer music, all-access footage and more of the artists they can’t find through traditional mainstream channels.”
