CMT Gets Animated With New Comedy

NEW YORK —CMT will expand its reality/country music-themed
programming lineup into the animation arena with the 2013
launch of original series Bounty Hunters.

The animated series, executively produced by comedians Jeff
Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy, was one of two
new series the MTV Networks outlet announced during its upfront
presentation to advertisers last week. The event featured a musical
performance from country music trio The Band Perry.

Bounty Hunters, about three friends and their bounty-hunting
business, will be voiced by the three aforementioned Blue Collar
comics as well as comedian Lisa Lampanelli, according to network

The second new series, Trinity 911, will chronicle the exploits of
a small-town Texas police force.

The new pickups join the already announced new reality series
Southern Nights, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country and Melissa &
Tye, which all premiere in April. A new cheerleading-themed series
dubbed Cheer from Live With Kelly host Kelly Ripa and her
husband Mark Consuelos will also premiere on the network
later this year.

Popular CMT series Bayou Billionaires and My Big Redneck Vacation
will return with new seasons this summer, the network said.
