CMT to Light Up Video Awards Show


CMT: Country Music Television will let fans help decide which music videos
are the most 'flameworthy' for the network's first-ever music-awards show in

Beginning April 16, fans will have the opportunity to
begin voting for videos that touch musical and personal chords and make viewers
want to 'light a match' in tribute by logging on to


The 2002 CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards are slated to air live
June 12 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the Gaylord Entertainment Center in downtown
Nashville, Tenn.

This event will also serve as the unofficial kickoff to the 31st Country
Music Fan Fair, the world's biggest country-music festival.

The awards show emanates from CMT's half-hour Flameworthy series, which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
and Saturdays at 1 p.m.
