CN8 Sends Signal Into Steel City

CN8, The Comcast Network launched in the Pittsburgh DMA June 1, pushing the regional into 10 Eastern markets.

The addition of 250,000 Comcast homes in the market boosts CN8’s total to some 6.7 million subscribers.

Offering 75 hours of original programming per week, the network -- which has received 208 regional Emmy Award nominations -- now serves viewers from Maine to Maryland: New York; Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, Pa.; Boston and Springfield, Mass.; Baltimore and Salisbury, Md.; Hartford and New Haven, Conn.; and Providence, R.I.

“CN8’s availability in Pittsburgh represents another great milestone for the network,” Comcast Cable Communications Inc. Eastern division president and CN8 founder Michael Doyle said. “Our growing footprint demonstrates the credibility of our regional-programming expertise.”
