Debate will be the centerpiece of CNBC's afternoon Sept. 25.
The business-news channel will carry a live debate among the Democratic
presidential candidates from somewhere in New York's financial district.
NBC News will organize the program in association with The Wall Street
Journal and keep the subject on economy matters. CNBC will supply the
moderator and at least one panelist.
The debate will start around 4 p.m. EST and run for a length to be
determined. Sister NBC-owned cable service MSNBC will rebroadcast the debate in
its entirety, at a time to be named later.
"We are delighted to provide a forum for our viewers to hear the opinions of
the presidential candidates on topics that directly impact the financial
