CNBC, Inc. Media to Develop Conferences

Business news channel CNBC and Inc Media, publisher of Inc. Magazine, have agreed to collaborate to produce conferences across the United States next year that will focus on entrepreneurship, small business and innovation.

“The global economy is powered by the ideas and actions of entrepreneurs, so we are excited to work with Inc. to create conferences that will celebrate, educate and empower the entrepreneurial spirit,” said CNBC Business News senior vice president and editor in chief Nikhil Deogun in a statement. “CNBC continues to build its coverage of entrepreneurship across all platforms and partnering with Inc., a company with a long and successful history serving this important audience, will only bolster those efforts.”

Under the terms of the agreement, CNBC and Inc. will create three conferences across the U.S. next year, with the first taking place in Spring 2015. In addition, throughout the year, CNBC and Inc. will share content related to entrepreneurship, growth companies and innovation.  These stories will appear on CNBC.com and Inc.com.

“Inc. has been informing, connecting and, hopefully, inspiring business founders since we began 35 years ago,” Inc. president and editor in chief Eric Schurenberg said in a statement. “Entrepreneurs—the engine of the US economy--are who we write about, and who we write for, and who we bring to our events, and we’ve been doing it practically alone all this time. That’s why we’re so excited to be joined in the effort by CNBC, one of the premier organizations in all business journalism.”
