Louis Rukeyser will keep his financial-TV address at CNBC through mid-2005
under a new two-year agreement detailed Wednesday afternoon.
The host of Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street -- who launched his CNBC show
in April 2002 after a falling-out with PBS over the direction of his
long-running Wall Street Week program there -- will keep his Web site
(www.rukeyser.com/home/home.asp) and other activities beyond the channel going,
"The folks at CNBC have been great, and I'm very pleased to be continuing my
relationship with them," he said in a prepared statement.
Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street, through its CNBC Friday cablecasts and
weekend replays on about 175 public TV stations, draws more than 1 million
viewers per week, according to Nielsen Media Research data. It's the most
watched series on CNBC's schedule.
