CNN Friday will take an in-depth look at the quality of U.S. counterterrorism efforts in the wake of the bombings at the Boston Marathon in a new special.
The one-hour Beyond The Manhunts: How to Stop Terror – A Fareed Zakaria Special will air May 10 at 11 p.m., after CNN’s broadcast of HBO’s two-hour documentary Manhunt (pictured), which chronicles the search and capture of Osama bin Laden, according to CNN officials. HBO premiered the documentary May 1.
Beyond The Manhunts will explore current domestic and international terror threats to the homeland, the use of drones and enhanced interrogation in intelligence collection, and the role of women agents in counterintelligence. The special will feature appearances by author and national security analyst Peter Bergen; former National Security Agency director Michael Hayden; national security journalist Mark Mazzetti; former CIA director and U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta; former CIA officers Nada Bakos, Robert Grenier, and Cindy Storer; and former FBI agent Ali Soufan, said CNN.
