CNN Exchange Has Got a Dell

Computer giant Dell is on board with CNN Exchange (us.cnn.com/exchange), the new user-generated content site that bowed last week.

CNN Digital Ad Sales inked a pact with Dell to be the charter and category-exclusive sponsor for CNN Exchange, which debuted Aug. 1 and gives users a chance to participate in the newsgathering and story-telling process.

As part of the pact -- terms of which were not disclosed -- with CNN Digital Ad Sales, Dell will have the featured ad placement on the CNN Exchange main page and all audience-generated reports; a 30-second spot on all of its broadband-video clips, including CNN All News and The CNN Exchange Playlist; and a syndicated banner on the video-player window.

The charter sponsorship and its attendant exposure run through October, according to CNN officials.
