CNN, Fox News Post Strong Numbers for ‘Super Saturday’ Primary Coverage

Cable news networks pulled in strong viewership numbers for its ‘Super Saturday’ presidential primary and caucuses coverage last night.

CNN was the top choice among adults 25-54 and 18-34 in primetime, while Fox News averaged more than 2.6 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. CNN averaged 1.8 million total primetime viewers, followed by MSNBC’s 1 million viewers.

CNN averaged 644,000 viewers in primetime Saturday night among adults 25-54 demo, followed  by Fox News with 567,00 and MSNBC with 249,000 watchers.

CNN will host tonight’s the Democratic Debate, live from Flint, Michigan, moderated by Anderson Cooper as well as Thursday’s GOP debate from Miami, Fla.

Fox News will host a March 7 Democratic Town Hall telecast featuring presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders, while on March 9 Clinton and Sanders debate in Miami that will air on Univision in Spanish and will be simulcast in English on CNN and Fusion.
