CNN’s King Undergoes Successful Surgery

Larry King is expected to return to CNN’s Larry King Live Monday after undergoing successful vascular surgery Friday, AP reported.

The 73-year-old talk-show host checked into Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where doctors performed carotid endarterectomy surgery, which removes plaque from the carotid artery and can restore blood flow, according to AP.

“Larry is doing great and he is excited to be back on the air Monday night with an interview with Sen. Barak Obama [D-Ill.] as we mark the fourth anniversary of the Iraq war," CNN said in a prepared statement.
