Hunter Smith could plenty get of exposure this weekend.
No doubt, Smith wouldn’t mind stepping onto the field quite often Sunday at Indianapolis’ RCA Dome in his role as placekick-holder when the Colts play host to the New England Patriots in a battle of NFL unbeatens. However, should he be called upon too much in his other job as the team’s punter, it likely means the Colts will come up second best in the game, a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game, that is being billed as Super Bowl XLI-1/2.
Either way, Smith will perform before a CBS audience that is being projected by some to surpass a 20 national household rating late Sunday afternoon.
Smith can also be seen on Friday and Saturday nights on Gospel Music Channel. He and band mate Chris Wilson comprise the Christian music duo Connersvine. A May concert recorded in Nashville, featuring songs from their self-titled album, aired on Gospel Music on Oct. 13 as part of the network’s Front Row Live original series.
Now officials at the network, which currently counts some 20 million subscribers, are looking to capitalize on the NFL’s marquee mid-season matchup, have scheduled encores of their acoustic concert tonight at 7:30 p.m. (ET) and Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
