Comcast Adds Mexican Network

Canal 52MX will be added to Comcast Corp.’s digital-cable lineup Wednesday, the MSO said.

The network will be available at no additional cost to subscribers to Comcast's “CableLatino,” “Selecto” or digital-cable packages in select markets.

The MVS Television-owned Mexican network offers comedy, action and drama series; music blocks and special events; sporting programs; Mexican films; and extended news coverage.

Comcast said it will also provide 15 hours of Canal 52MX programming as part of its On Demand en Español video-on-demand service.

"The addition of Canal 52MX is part of Comcast's ongoing commitment to offer programming that reflects the diverse needs and interests of the communities we serve," Comcast Cable Communications Inc. senior director of multicultural video Mauro Panzera said in a prepared statement.
