Comcast Adds Tour Coverage to VOD

Viewers in Philadelphia and New Jersey will be able to follow Comcast Corp.
pitchman Lance Armstrong’s bid for a fifth Tour de France yellow jersey on their
own schedules.

The Philadelphia-based MSO has added time-delayed Tour de France coverage
from Outdoor Life Network to its "On Demand" video-on-demand service. Programs
will be added to the VOD lineup shortly after the end of the original broadcast,
and they will remain on servers for one week afterward.

Digital customers can pause, rewind and fast-forward the footage using their
remote controls, as well as store individual programs for up to 24 hours for
repeat viewing.

Now in its final week, the Tour de France is closing in on a July 27 finish
in Paris. Despite several crash-plagued stages, Armstrong is maintaining a
narrow 18-second lead over the 198-rider field.
