Comcast, bolstering its international roster of networks, has launched 14 "more" services in the San Francisco Bay area.
Part of a recent digital upgrade under the Project Calvalry reclamation initiative, area customers are also seeing their channel lineup change for 18 other services to better group to channels that share a similar language or country of origin.
Earlier this year, Comcast began the digital migration, offering the upgrades from analog to its "Standard Cable" customers under the consumer heading, "The World of More," while converting channels 31 and above to a digitally delivered format. Comcast's digital upgrade also reclaimed analog bandwidth to allow the company to provide more products and services to customers, also including faster Internet speeds and more on-demand content. Comcast is continuing its digital migration in other portions of the Bay Area and those areas will receive the new programming in subsequent phases later this year.
