Comcast Corp. has launched five international channels as digital premium networks in its Southern California systems.

The MSO’s digital subscribers now have access to TV5 (French), C1RW (Russian), SBTN (Vietnamese), TV Japan (Japanese) and GMA Pinoy TV (Filipino).

“The Los Angeles market is one of the most vibrant and diverse areas in the United States, and many of its residents have ties that extend to all parts of the world," Comcast Southern California region senior vice president Debi Picciolo said in a prepared statement. "As such, Comcast is pleased to expand the variety of multicultural channels we offer to our customers.”
