Comcast Corp. signed a deal with Fox Sports Net and Major League Baseball’s Seattle Mariners to carry 19 home games in HDTV this season.

HDTV subscribers in western Washington, Spokane and Clark County, as well as Portland and Salem, Ore., will get the package, starting with the May 7 contest against the New York Yankees.

FSN is producing the games in 1080i (interlaced) and Dolby Digital 5.1.

Comcast said HD is available to more than 1.75 million homes in its Northwest systems.
