Comcast Corp.’s new channel in the Denver metropolitan area, Comcast Channel 5, is ready for some football of the arena variety.
The operator announced Wednesday that the channel will air seven Colorado Crush Arena Football League games this season, starting with Friday’s season-opener at home against the Las Vegas Gladiators.
Channel 5 will also air a 30-minute program twice per week during this season, featuring programming developed by the Crush, including interviews with coaches and players, game highlights, press conferences and game analysis.
And the MSO will have a major marketing presence with the team through arena signage, advertising and promotional activities.
The deal continues through the 2005 season.
