Comcast, CircuitCity Open Second Connect Store

Five months after the debut of Connect -- an experimental retail store between Comcast and Circuit City -- the two companies are teaming up to open a second store Friday in Burlington, Mass.

The purpose of the store is to streamline the digital-home-shopping experience, availing customers of staff trained on both Comcast and Circuit City products and services. Connect first opened in Medford, Mass in mid-December.

“With the successful launch of our first Connect store, we are excited to open a second location in Burlington where people can experience the best of Comcast’s video, high-speed-Internet and phone services with Circuit City’s electronics in a comfortable, homelike setting,” said Kevin Casey, president of Comcast’s north-central division. “Connect makes it easy, convenient and enjoyable for consumers to create their own digital home.”

Both stores offer LCD, plasma and DLP televisions; laptop PCs; digital cameras; MP3 players and accessories; and triple-play of services from Comcast, including Comcast Digital Cable with on-demand service; HD programming and digital-video-recorder service;Comcast high-speed Internet; and Comcast Digital Voice.

Connect stores also feature Circuit City firedog technicians.
