Comcast Debuts MMA On Demand Offering In Florida

Comcast Cable's South Florida systems will debut an on-demand package of mixed martial arts fights beginning tomorrow (Sept. 15).

Comcast will carry Kombat MMA, a service featuring four 90-minute MMA fights a
month, according to Kombat MMA Founder Daniel Beck. The fights, which
will reside under Comcast's On Demand lineup under the "sports and
fitness" area, will retail at $19.99 per fight.

"I have screened footage from over 200 MMA fight leagues across the country ... it's clear the greatest fights and fighters have yet to be seen on television and we plan on bringing that excitement into your living room," said Beck. "We continue to aggressively seek out relationships with fighters and leagues from across the country to air on Comcast On Demand."

For Comcast, Kombat provides customers with MMA action that's available any time they want.

"MMA has taken this market by storm. Our customers can't seem to get enough MMA action," said Comcast South Florida Region Vice President of Marketing Tom Zemaitis in a statement. "Kombat's MMA fights on On Demand allow our customers to get more of the MMA action they like any time they want."
