Comcast Corp. is on a building roll, announcing that it has selected Irving,
Texas, as the home for the Dallas market's new inbound call center.
The MSO has bought an 86,000-square-foot facility and expects to open the
call center in August. It will be home to more than 450 customer account
executives, creating 250 new jobs for the area.
That follows the announcement earlier this week that Comcast would invest $8
million in a new service center in New Jersey.
"We're proud to be locating our new inbound call center in Irving and
creating 250 new jobs," said Ann Montgomery, regional senior vice president for
Comcast's mountain division's Southern region.
"At Comcast, we believe customer service should be handled as close to the
customer as possible, and that's just what we're doing," she added. "Comcast has
a reputation for treating customers with respect, and we're ready to earn our
customers' trust as we handle our customer-service calls
