Comcast Entertainment Group Thursday named Mary Hall as its new research vice president and Frank Chao as its new research director. The duo will be responsible for research analysis and support for E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network and G4.
Hall, who most recently headed the research department at The WB Television Network, will oversee all audience measurement and programming research for the trio of networks and serve as the company’s liaison with Nielsen on software and methodology issues.
Chao, who joined Comcast Entertainment Group from FX Network where he was a research manager, will provide overall research support for the three networks to better understand audience behavior and interpret Nielsen data. In this new role, Chao will also play a key role in developing and executing long- and short-term planning across the networks.
Both appointments were announced by Cyndi McClellan, Comcast Entertainment Group’s senior vice president, research and program planning.
