Comcast subscribers will have the opportunity to take a video-on-demand bite out of the vampire film Twilight when it debuts on Comcast On Demand Saturday, simultaneously with movie's DVD release.
The movie, which drew $187 million in U.S. box office receipts, will be available March 21 via Comcast On Demand under the "Movies & Events" folder in "All New Releases," according to the MSO.
"Attention Twilighters: at 12:01 a.m. you can watch Twilight in HD the moment it's available and with no trip to the video store," said Derek Harrar, senior vice president and general manager of video services for Comcast, in a statement. "Delivering this international pop culture phenomenon right into customers' living rooms demonstrates the power of Comcast On Demand."
Along with the film, Comcast On Demand, beginning March, 18 will offer three featurettes surrounding Twilight, including an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how a well-known "Vampire Baseball" scene in the movie was filmed, according to the MSO.
