Comcast Gives Airtime to Bay Area Candidates


Comcast Corp. said Wednesday that it will launch Comcast Local Edition on CNN Headline News throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

is a five-minute interview program that will air on Headline on the hour, every hour.

The show features community organizers and local, regional, and state politicians who want to present their ideas in a forum that has a local focus, but the scope and significance of a national news network, the MSO said in a release.

The operator added that it will begin airing twice as many Comcast Local Edition interview segments in February, as the 2004 election cycle begins.
