Comcast Corp. said Tuesday that it has doubled downstream high-speed-data rates for its Washington-state subscribers.

To upgrade from the current speed of 1.5 megabits per second to 3 mbps, customers must unplug their modems, wait 60 seconds and plug them back in.

The MSO’s upstream speed is still 256 kilobits per second.
