Comcast Goes Wi-Fi with T-Mobile

Comcast Corp. will launch its first Wi-Fi hot spot this summer at the Headhouse Square Plaza in Philadelphia with the help of T-Mobile USA Inc.

The hot spot will allow consumers the ability to get online at wireless-broadband speeds using Wi-Fi-enabled laptops or personal data assistants, and to be plugged into Comcast's high-speed network.
The MSO said the hot spot will be one of the largest in the United States, covering Second Street between South and Pine in center Philadelphia.

The two companies said they will offer free Wi-Fi service at the plaza for six months.
