Comcast Integrates with H-P PCs

Comcast Corp. is joining with Hewlett-Packard Co. to give consumers who purchase H-P "Pavilion" and Compaq Computer Corp. "Presario" desktops and notebooks an easy way to buy Comcast High-Speed Internet.

H-P said new PC owners can click on H-P's high-speed Internet desktop icon upon setting up the computer to order service. Consumers can also go online (www.hp.com/go/highspeed) to get broadband service.

"This marketing program pairing H-P and Compaq desktop and notebook PCs and Comcast High-Speed Internet is a natural step in the effort to bring broadband connectivity to more people, " said Greg Butz, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Comcast, in a prepared statement.
