Comcast Just One of the Players


Players Network Inc.’s original gaming-lifestyle fare will be part of Comcast Corp.’s Comcast On Demand video-on-demand offering following a multiyear deal between the two companies, announced Monday.

The gaming-centric programming will officially launch on the MSO’s VOD service Nov. 8.

Comcast ran a successful VOD test of Players Network fare in 23 markets over the past year.

“Players Network has positioned itself as a leader in gaming entertainment through established marketing relationships within the gaming industry and the creation of original programming that captures the essence of the gaming lifestyle,” Comcast vice president of content development Matt Strauss said in a prepared statement.
