Comcast Corp. has launched “Comcast Kids,” an online channel on its high-speed Internet portal (www.comcast.net) that features some premiere content from Disney Kids.
The content includes “Disney Connection,” which features seven new games each week, cartoon shorts, music videos and music trailers, as well as selected access to two of Disney's premium offerings: “Disney Blast” and four hours of “Disney Toontown” each month.
In addition, full premium service “Disney Blast” is available to Comcast high-speed subscribers for $39.95 per year, compared with its retail price of $49.95 per month. “Toontown Online” is available for $8.95 per month to Comcast subscribers, versus the $9.95-oer-month retail price.
Comcast said 40% of its high-speed subscribers have children.
