Comcast Corp. and the Dan Marino Foundation are teaming up in south Florida to educate people about autism and other neuro-developmental disabilities, the MSO announced Thursday.

The operator will air a series of public-service announcements, launch consumer promotions and send out bill inserts. In addition, Marino will appear on Comcast’s Newsmaker, which airs on CNN Headline News.

National Football League and Miami Dolphins legend Marino and his wife, Claire, founded the foundation in 1992, and it has raised more than $4 million to support medical treatments, outreach services and disease research for children with chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities.
