Performing eight challenges, Chis Arbogast of Salt Lake City was the 2008 winner of “The Mtn. Challenge, Powered by Comcast”and received a trip for two to the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The eight challenges were conducted from September through November – four prior to BYU Cougars home games and four before Utah Utes contests – with a final competition between the top participant from each location held prior to the BYU/Utah game at Rice Eccles Stadium on Nov. 22. Contestants participated in a series of four football-related challenges: field goal kick; defender dodge; touchdown pass; and high-step hurdles.
Arbogast, accompanied by his wife, Kylee, received a trip for two to New Orleans, where Utah knocked helmets with the University of Alabama Crimson Tide on Jan 2. The trip includes round-trip airfare, three nights of hotel accommodations in the historic French Quarter and game tickets.
The Arbogasts also received tickets to the Allstate Sugar Bowl tailgate party, sponsored by the University of Utah Alumni Association before the game on Jan. 2 and attended the Utah Pep Rally on New Year’s Day, where the Marching Utes, Utah cheerleaders, Crimson Line, and Swoop kicked off the evening, followed by remarks from Utah coaches and players.
