Comcast, MuchMusic Go Goo Goo

Comcast Cable Communications Inc. and MuchMusic USA announced Wednesday that
they are partnering on the network's second annual 'Class Dismissed' contest,
aimed at high-school students.

To win an exclusive concert by the Goo Goo Dolls at their school, students
must submit their own online music videos for 'Slide,' the Warner Bros.
recording act's No. 1 hit single.

The promotion -- also designed to promote usage of high-speed, cable-powered
Internet connections -- calls for the high-schoolers to submit their videos to
MuchMusic's Web site, www.mmusa.tv.

The grand prize will be an exclusive concert at the school of the contest
winner. On June 30, Comcast plans to offer its systems the concert, as well as
documentary footage of the contest winner's visit with the rock band.

Comcast and MuchMusic joined forces in a similar Class Dismissed promotion
last year, when singer Alanis Morissette was the featured act.

MuchMusic senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing Lisa
Schwartz, who called last year's contest a success, said in a prepared
statement, 'Promotions such as this demonstrate how high-speed cable-modem
technology can enhance a Web user's experience ... We look forward to building
on [last year's] success in 2002.'
