Comcast Names Three VPs

Comcast Corp. Thursday announced three vice president-level appointments.

Karen Dougherty Buchholz has been named VP of administration. She had been VP of corporate communications.

In her newly created position, Buchholz will manage and coordinate a variety of corporate administrative responsibilities and assume responsibility as project manager for the company's Philadelphia corporate-headquarters search, including any move or transition activities that may be required at the conclusion of that process.

D'Arcy Rudnay has joined the company in Buchholz’s former post. She had been VP of corporate communications and media relations at Lincoln Financial Group.

Rudnay will be responsible for all strategic communications planning for Comcast, as well as for ensuring unified and consistent communications for the entire Comcast family of companies.

And William C. Kent has joined the MSO as Southwest-area vice president and general manager. Kent had been senior VP for Adelphia Communications Corp.’s central region.

In his new post, he will oversee operations of 19 Comcast systems throughout New Mexico, as well as the MSO’s system in Tucson, Ariz. Comcast has 230,500 in New Mexico and about 78,000 in Tucson.
