Comcast to Open Wash. Customer-Service Center

Comcast will construct and lease a new office building in Lynnwood, Wash., that will eventually house more than 500 customer-service representatives, executives and administrative support staff.

Construction of the 87,385-square-foot Comcast customer-service center will be completed next year, under terms of an agreement with Opus Northwest, and the MSO is expected to occupy the building in July 2007.

The company said it will add 350 new jobs in Washington by the end of the year and more than 200 additional jobs in the state in 2007 to meet growing demand for its products and services. Nearly all of the new jobs are for front-line CSRs and cable technicians.
