Comcast, the nation's largest cable operator, on Dec. 5
officially launched a new Spanish-language call center in Miramar, Fla.

The new "Center of Excellence" is exclusively dedicated to
handling sales calls from Spanish speaking consumers across the U.S. According
to the Philadelphia-based company, about 75% of the 200 representatives working
there were new hires. The goal is to end up with more than 300 representatives
within the next year.

The center, which was officially inaugurated in the presence
of Forida Gov. Rick Scott, is intended to handle both Hispanic sales and
retention calls.
