Ovation continues to make distribution strides with Comcast.
The arts and contemporary culture programmer is scheduled to launch on systems owned by the top cable operator in Arizona, California, Colorado and Utah later this month and into June.
Ovation senior vice president of distribution Ellen Schned said the 40-million subscriber service will launch on systems serving Comcast customers in Salt Lake City, Tucson, Denver and Sacramento, Fresno and Stockton, Calif.
These rollout follow recent launches on Comcast cable systems in Jacksonville, Fla. and the Colorado cities of Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Parker, Centennial and Castle Rock.
"Through the hard work of this network's outstanding distribution team, and the incredible support of Comcast, Ovation is already outpacing the growth it enjoyed last year," said Schned in a statement. "It's clear that the strength of the art and contemporary culture category is resonating with operators and viewers alike. We offer the only cable network dedicated to the arts and unparalleled partnerships with local cultural institutions and we're pleased that operators recognize this tremendous value."
