Comcast Corp. produced three 30-second public-service announcements featuring Washington Gov. Gary Locke, the MSO said Wednesday.
The PSAs -- which promote Locke’s “Summer Reading Challenge,” clean water and volunteerism -- are part of a six-month PSA commitment by the state’s cable operators, which also include Charter Communications Inc., Adelphia Communications Corp. and Wave Broadband.
The four operators are donating some $500,000 in advertising inventory through the second half of 2004.
“We're pleased to use our advertising inventory and our production resources to help Gov. Locke and the state deliver important public-service messages," Len Rozek, senior vice president of Comcast in Washington, said in a prepared statement.
“My hope is that our contribution can help to raise awareness of these important issues and improve the quality of life for all Washington residents,” he added.
