Comcast’s Baumgartner a WICT ‘Woman of Year’

Tracy Baumgartner, VP of public relations at Comcast’s West Division, has been named WICT Rocky Mountain woman of the year by the Denver-based chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications.

She’s one of eight individuals who will be honored at the chapter’s Walk of Fame Gala on May 13 at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center in Denver.

Baumgartner (pictured) was cited for her “proven track record of leadership” at Comcast and the WICT RM chapter. She’s “highly regarded by her employees, clients and peers for her career achievements, strong interpersonal skills and work-life balance,” WICT said in a release.

Also to be honored are:

Marwan Fawaz, chief technical officer and executive VP at Charter Communications, as mentor of the year;

Jana Henthorn, senior VP of programs and education at The Cable Center, as partner of the industry;

Sherisse Hawkins, VP of software engineering, and Grace Egan, VP of product engineering, both at Time Warner Cable, as women in technology;

And Cristin Brown, VP of marketing at WOW; Karen Eckmann, VP of corporate communications at CSG Systems; and Jacyn Meyer, director of affiliate sales at Starz Entertainment, all as women to watch.
