Comcast Corp. south Florida region senior vice president Filemon Lopez received some recognition from the editors of Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine.
Lopez was named to the magazine’s “50 Most Important Hispanics in Technology and Business” list for 2004.
According to the magazine, honorees are chosen based on their work in the field of technology and their leadership.
The honorees will be featured in the June/July issue of Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology, which is distributed to Hispanic engineering students; Hispanic engineering, IT and science professionals; and high-level government and industry policymakers and executives across the country.
“This award is a reflection of the team I work with at Comcast, along with the leadership of this company,” Lopez said in a prepared statement.
“All of the honorees emphasize the huge strides Hispanics have made in recent years,” he added. “I am grateful that Comcast has provided me with the opportunity to grow and develop over the years.”
