Shalom TV reached a subscription-video-on-demand carriage agreement with Comcast Corp.

The “mainstream Jewish cultural channel” will be available on the MSO’s systems in southeastern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware Aug. 30.

Shalom TV will make approximately 50 hours of Jewish-related shows and events available on an SVOD basis, with new titles and episodes added regularly.

“Comcast is the signature cable company in nine of the top 11 Jewish markets in America, and the upcoming launch in Philadelphia and northern Delaware has helped to establish the nation's first Jewish television network,” Shalom TV CEO Rabbi Mark S. Golub said in a prepared statement.
