Comcast Set To Kick Off ‘Xfinity Sportstacular’

Comcast is gearing up for Xfinity Sportstacular, a week-long event running November 11-17 that will highlight live sports programming offered in and out of the home from networks such as NFL Network, Big Ten Network (BTN), Pac-12 Networks, ESPN Goal Line, FOX Sports 1, NBA TV, NHL Network and NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

The promo will be highlighted on TV, online at Comcast’s TV Everywhere portal (www.xfinity.com/TV) and on iOS and Android devices on the recently renamed and upgraded Xfinity TV Go app. Comcast has also introduced a Sportstacular microsite at www.xfinity.com/livesports.

 “We’re not only opening up access to live sporting events on the biggest screen in our customers’ homes; but with our Xfinity TV Go app, we’re making it possible for them to stream much of this sports programming over the Internet live to their devices as well,” said Matt Lederer, director, digital and sports marketing strategy at Comcast Cable, in a statement.

During the tilt, Comcast said it provide access to networks typically offered to customers on one of Xfinity TV’s various sports packages. Key match-ups from these networks include: Indianapolis Colts against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football (NFL Network), a Friday night NHL Eastern Conference showdown between the Detroit Red Wings and the Washington Capitals (NHL Network); and some of the hottest college rivalries on Saturday (BTN and the Pac-12 Networks).

Additional Sportstacular partners include beIN SPORT, beIN SPORT en Español, CBS Sports Network, ESPN Goal Line, FOX College Sports, FOX Sports 1, Golf Channel, NBA TV, NBCSN, and Tennis Channel. Of these, beIN SPORT, beIN SPORT en Español, BTN, FOX Sports 1, Golf Channel, NBCSN and Pac-12 Networks will be accessible to Xfinity TV customers on the Xfinity TV Go app. During the week, Comcast also will open up Xfinity On Demand content such as The Big Break NFL (Golf Channel), NBA game highlights (NBA TV), NHL game highlights (NHL Network and NBCSN) and The Ultimate Fighter (FOX Sports 1).
