Comcast Corp. will be the title sponsor for The National Council of La Raza’s 2005 Annual Conference in Philadelphia July 16-19.
The NCLR is the largest national Hispanic civil-rights and advocacy organization in the United States.
Comcast regional senior vice president Filemon Lopez will perform the ribbon cutting of the Latino Expo to kick off the conference, executive VP David L. Cohen will speak at the gala and the MSO will sponsor the Latino Leadership Roundtable.
“We are proud to be a major sponsor of the NCLR Conference and look forward to expanding our relationship with this important organization," Cohen said in a prepared statement.
“Comcast has relationships with local Hispanic organizations across the United States, offers extensive Spanish-language programming and is dedicated to recruiting and retaining a diverse work force and promoting aggressive supplier-diversity initiatives,” he added.
