SupportSoft Inc., which provides support-automation software for broadband
services, landed a major deal with Comcast Cable Communications Inc.
Comcast will use SupportSoft's 'SmartAccess Solution,' which allows MSOs to
configure high-speed access services from PCs.
SupportSoft said Comcast also plans to use its 'Service Provider Resolution
Suite' software for online customer support for the MSO's 1.1 million high-speed
'SupportSoft's SmartAccess solution will help to make our customers'
high-speed Internet experience even easier and more convenient,' said Mitch
Bowling, vice president of operations and technical support at Comcast.
The software will allow subscribers to change and upgrade services
