Comcast: Take a Sniff of SIFF

Seven films from the Seattle International Film Festival will be available free-of-charge via Comcast On Demand to the MSO’s digital-cable subscribers in Washington state.

The films were selected from the 2003-2005 SIFF festivals, along with one from the 2004 New York International Independent Film Festival.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to promote SIFF by making some really interesting and compelling films available on-demand," Comcast vice president of marketing and sales Tom Pierce said in a prepared statement.

“With nearly 100 million on-demand programs viewed in Washington and more than 1 billion programs viewed nationwide over the past 10 months, it is clear that on-demand is transforming the way people watch TV, and that this is the perfect venue for promoting cutting-edge filmmaking,” he added.
