Comcast International Media Group Thursday announced that Jene Elzie has been promoted to vice president of international sales and strategic planning where she’ll oversee program sales and distribution throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
“Jene has quickly become an invaluable member of our international sales team,” Duccio Donati, CIMG’s senior vice president, said in a statement. “This promotion underscores our commitment to further growing our international division, expanding our current brands, E! Entertainment Television and The Style Network, as well as introducing and developing The Golf Channel, G4, Versus and Exercise TV within the global marketplace.”
Elzie will directly oversee the London program sales team responsible for distribution of all the CIMG programming in Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as the company's Latin America, ancillary and in-flight sales business. She will also continue to work closely with CIMG's Hong Kong office to maximize programming sales in the Asia Pacific region. She will also focus on strategically growing the CIMG brands globally, with an emphasis on The Golf Channel and The Style Network.
“I'm excited about my expanded role and look forward to working with Comcast's international teams to enhance existing brand opportunities, as well as to uncover new avenues for growth,” Elzie said in a statement.
Prior to joining CIMG, Elzie served as head of programming and acquisitions for The Tennis Channel, where she oversaw the fulfillment of tennis and other programming rights deals, as well as network scheduling, traffic, management and the development of ancillary projects.
